About Matt de Camara

Matt de Camara grew up in the High Country. From an early age he has appreciated the natural beauty of the mountains. He's always gravitated towards computers/electronics - building his own website tinkering with html, photos, etc. He went to Watauga High School then continued his studies at Appalachian State University. Majoring in Computer Information Systems, he graduated with his business degree (BSBA) in 2008. During college, he became a passionate rock climber, traversing the mountains and becoming intimately familiar with the High Country. After graduating, he accepted an IT job at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. After 3 years in Columbia, he made the decision to come back to the mountains.

Upon return, he joined his dad's real estate company. His father, Bob de Camara, started working in real estate in 1999. With vast experience in sales, he absorbed as much knowledge as possible. Matt worked under him until 2021 - then they transferred ownership and Matt took the lead. His father continues to work beside him today.

Since owning the company, Matt has continued to raise the bar. He's currently owner of three boutique real estate firms in the High Country.
